The Faces of iGA Istanbul Airport
The exhibition “The Faces of İGA / I Am Where I Stand”, which opened on January 27, 2025, at iGA ART Gallery, showcases portraits of 100 guests from diverse cultures who have passed through iGA Istanbul Airport.
As a global hub, iGA Istanbul Airport highlights the multiculturalism it embodies with this new exhibition. Organized by iGA ART Gallery, the photography exhibition “The Faces of İGA / I Am Where I Stand” features portraits of 100 passengers from around the world, celebrating the connections forged at the airport.
Located in the A-B Knuckle of the International Arrivals section, the exhibition illustrates the airport's role as a space where people from vastly different backgrounds come together under the same sky and on the same earth. Each portrait represents memories of hope, excitement, and discovery that extend across the globe. Curated by Prof. Dr. Gülveli Kaya, the exhibition will remain open to visitors until April 30, 2025.
iGA Istanbul Airport CEO Selahattin Bilgen expressed pride in providing a dedicated space for culture and art at the airport:
“With our significant passenger traffic, we strive to maximize guest satisfaction by offering services that cater to the diverse needs of travelers from all over the world. By incorporating art into our space, we add an aesthetic and emotional dimension to our relationship with our guests. We believe it is invaluable to introduce visitors to the healing and unifying power of art.”
Bilgen also emphasized that the exhibition reflects the airport’s mission to connect not only distant locations but also different cultures:
“‘The Faces of İGA / I Am Where I Stand’ once again demonstrates how İGA Istanbul Airport is a meeting point for the world. Each portrait in the exhibition tells a unique story and invites visitors on a multicultural journey, evoking the excitement of new routes and discoveries.”
